Sound Licence

You may use every built-in sound on this site for free, for any purpose, including in videos and live streams. They are dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0.

What the licence says

Each of the 36 sounds carries the licence line "CC0 1.0 — generated by this site's own code". CC0 1.0 Universal waives all copyright and related rights as far as the law allows. Read the full text at creativecommons.org.

No third-party audio

No built-in sound is a recording, a sample, a text-to-speech clip or a download from elsewhere. They are produced by one deterministic script that combines oscillators, envelopes, filtered noise, frequency modulation and simple note sequencing, then encodes the result as MP3. The same script and seed always produce the same audio.

What you can do

Play them on a stream, put them in a video, a podcast, a game or a lesson, edit or layer them, and share the downloaded files. You do not need to ask or credit anyone. If you like, a link to this site helps others find it.

What this does not cover

The licence covers the built-in sounds only. Audio you load from your own files is yours; this site never receives it. The names of any third-party products you may use alongside the sounds belong to their owners.

Questions people ask

Do I need to credit this site?

No. CC0 means no attribution is required. A link back is appreciated but never needed.

Can I use the sounds commercially?

Yes. You can use, edit and sell work that contains them, including videos and games.

Are any of the sounds sampled or recorded?

No. Each sound is synthesised from scratch by the generator script in this site's code, using oscillators, envelopes, filtered noise and FM. There is no third-party audio.

What about sounds I add from my own files?

Those are yours, not ours. They are not covered by this licence, they never leave your device, and you are responsible for having the right to use them.
