Alarm Sounds and Alert Sound Effects
These free alarm sounds cover the usual alerts: an air horn, a siren, an alarm clock, a doorbell ding-dong, a notification chime and an error beep. Press a button to hear it, or download the MP3.

Pick the right alert
Use the air horn to celebrate or to end a round, the siren for a dramatic warning in a game or video, and the alarm clock for a wake-up or time-is-up cue. The doorbell and notification chime are polite, short cues; the error beep says "that did not work" without being harsh.
Not for real emergencies
These are sound effects for projects, timers and fun. A web page can be paused by the browser, muted by the device or blocked by an autoplay rule, so do not rely on it as a real alarm, safety alert or medical reminder. Use a dedicated alarm app or device for anything that matters.
Loud sounds, sensible volume
The air horn and siren are intentionally loud. Turn the master volume slider down before testing, especially with headphones, and warn people in the room before you play them.
Questions people ask
Can I use these as my phone alarm?
You can download the MP3 and use it as a tone where your device allows custom sounds. Do not use this web page itself as your alarm, because browsers can pause or mute it.
Are these sounds free to use in videos and streams?
Yes. Every built-in sound is original synthesis released under CC0 1.0, so you can use it in videos, streams, games, lessons and commercial projects with no payment and no credit. See the sound licence.
Is the air horn really loud?
It is one of the loudest sounds in the library. Lower the volume slider first, and play it away from small children and pets.
How were these made?
The siren is a gliding sawtooth pair, the alarm clock is fast square-wave beeps, and the doorbell and chime use FM bell synthesis. None of them is recorded.
