Funny Sound Effects

These free funny sound effects are all kid-friendly: a boing, two slide whistles, a pop, a squeak, a whoopee and a double honk. Press a button to play it, or download the MP3 for your own video or game.

Silly sounds, safe for all ages

Everything in this group is gentle slapstick. The whoopee is a classic raspberry cushion noise and nothing more, which is why it is labelled the polite way. Use these for storytime, party games, cartoon-style videos or to make a classroom laugh at the right moment.

The two slide whistles are a pair: tap up when something rises or succeeds, down when it falls over.

Layer them for bigger gags

Because every tap starts a fresh copy, you can stack sounds: a boing followed by a pop, or three quick squeaks. Leave "One at a time" off for layering and switch it on when you want clean, separate effects.

Made from scratch

The boing is a wobbling pitch with a fast decay, the squeaks are narrow pulse waves through a filter, and the honk is a pair of filtered sawtooth waves. None of it is recorded or sampled, so the sounds are CC0 and free for videos, streams and games.

Questions people ask

Are these funny sounds suitable for kids?

Yes. Nothing here is rude or scary. The whoopee is a cushion-style raspberry, listed under its polite name.

Are these sounds free to use in videos and streams?

Yes. Every built-in sound is original synthesis released under CC0 1.0, so you can use it in videos, streams, games, lessons and commercial projects with no payment and no credit. See the sound licence.

Yes. Star your favourites here, or build a custom board on the make your own soundboard page and share it with a link.
